David Lerner, Founder

David Lerner Collection

David Lerner is founder and designer of his eponymous women’s ready-to-wear collection. Lerner, a 29-year-old American, was born and raised in Manhattan, and lives and designs there today.

Prior to launching his contemporary collection in 2008, Lerner studied at New York University and seemed destined for a business career. But Lerner’s passion for design and an appreciation for fashion led him to start David Lerner Collection, a collection of luxe wardrobe staples that balances style and comfort.

Using only the highest quality fabrics, Lerner is famous for his attention to detail, and he has taken his collection to the forefront of fashion by updating everyday basics with the best fit, best fabric and by paying attention to detail. By incorporating seam detailing, trims such as zippers, and mixing fabrics, he has elevated his line to be more than a basic, making it a preeminent contemporary brand.

Remaining true to his core beliefs in high-quality fabrics, minimalist chic design and perfect fit, Lerner’s design equation is simple: High Fashion coupled with Ultimate Comfort unleashes a woman’s Confidence, and thus her Beauty. In his words: “The most beautiful women are those who move with confidence and style.”

Designed and crafted in the Meatpacking District, the David Lerner Collection is 100% made in America with an NYC edge. Indeed, Lerner can often be found in his showroom designing until the wee hours as NYC pulses around him, inspiring his passion and creativity: “I chose this location for my showroom because it’s a window to the perpetual motion of the City and the liquid movements of the City’s women as they stream to their destinations. The fluidity moves my dreams and my designs forward.”

David Lerner Collection has already cultivated an impressive roster of celebrity clients, editorial coverage and placement in the best boutiques and department stores worldwide.

Looking ahead, Lerner is looking to open his first retail shop, branch off into accessories and is looking forward to his first New York Fashion Week runway show.
